Bill McElyea, Vice President of Human Resources and Operations

As Vice President of Human Resources and Operations, Bill McElyea oversees and develops all Human Resources activities of the Foundation, including strategic HR planning, talent management, employee engagement, talent acquisition, labor compliance, benefits, compensation, and employee relations. Additionally, Bill oversees the Operations and Information Technology teams who are focused on assisting Foundation employees to be efficient, accessible, and productive.  

McElyea has over 20 years of experience in HR, having held HR leadership roles in such companies as Hewlett Packard, State Street Corporation, and the Rezolve Group. Prior to joining the Foundation, he worked as Executive Director of HR at Social Interest Solutions, a non-profit social technology firm dedicated to improving access to healthcare and social services using innovative technologies.

McElyea is a California Community College alumnus, having transferred from American River College to CSU, Sacramento where he received a Bachelors of Arts in Social Work. He then completed his graduate work at the University of San Francisco, earning a Master of Human Resources and Organization Development.
