Ferial Govashiri is the current Chief of Staff to the Chief Content Officer at Netflix and is the former Personal Aide to the President of the United States under Barack Obama. Govashiri has over ten years of political campaign and government experience at the highest levels and brings fresh perspectives on strategic planning and technology use to the Foundation board.  

Govashiri is an active member of the Pacific Council, which brings together an accomplished array of professionals interested in international relations and global governing. She is also an active member in the Iranian American Women’s Foundation, which focuses on organizing Iranian women and teaching the younger generations to lean on each other for mentorship and advice. 

 Govashiri is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine, where she obtained her bachelor of arts in political science. She was the 2016 recipient of the Seton Hall School of Diplomacy and International Relations Women of Diplomacy Leadership Award, and was recognized by Marie Claire magazine as one of the top 50 most connected women in America.
