Steve Maciel is Director of Finance and Accounting at the Foundation for California Community Colleges. Maciel manages the Foundation’s accounting and finance teams, in addition to overseeing the organization’s financial compliance. His unwavering evaluation of systems, processes, and integration opportunities to improve efficiencies, alongside implementation of financial models that better enable organizational goal setting and attainment, directly contributes to the Foundation’s fiscal sustainability.
Maciel has extensive fiscal leadership experience, including large scale government financial and contracts management exceeding $17 billion. Prior to joining the Foundation, he served as the Director of Finance at Welfare Client Data Systems; Finance Manager at Health Net Federal Services; and as a senior finance officer at Maximus Health Care Options and Fresno State.
Maciel graduated magna cum laude from Fresno State with a bachelor of science in business administration and is currently working on his nonprofit financial management certification.
