Supporting those affected by the California wildfires and other disasters.

updated September 22, 2022

Thousands of California community college students, faculty, and staff are being impacted by devastating fires burning across our state and other natural disasters. Our thoughts are with all those affected. Recovery and rebuilding takes significant time and resources, but your generous donation will help to ease this process. Past recipients of donors’ support have used funds to relocate and to replace laptops, supplies, transportation, clothes, and food lost or destroyed in hasty evacuations.

As hubs of their communities, our colleges serve as evacuation centers, information centers, deployment centers, helipads, providers of first responders, and more. We are grateful for the critical role our community colleges play in their communities. Please give now to support our community college family.

Give Now

In the midst of a crisis, fundraising can be difficult or impossible for our community colleges. The Wildfire and Disaster Relief Award reduces the administrative burden on colleges most impacted by the wildfires and delivers aid quickly to those who need it most. You also can still help local college communities support students and staff by donating to the specific college foundations listed below. This list will be updated as we are informed of communities urgently needing support.

  • College of the Siskiyous
  • Sierra College
  • Mt. San Jacinto College

To add your college to the list above, please email gifts@foundationccc.org. Impacted colleges can find more information here about how to receive Wildfire and Disaster Relief support.

"We either have friends or family who have been tragically impacted. This is why it is vital for our community college family to come together to help the students, faculty, and staff affected rebuild." Keith Aytch, President, Evergreen Valley College
