Project Spotlight

Supplemental Rate Payments for Family Child Providers

FoundationCCC partnered with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) to provide funding to help stabilize family child care providers as they recovered from the pandemic. FoundationCCC quickly mobilized call center and finance staff to sanitize provider data, collect W-9 forms, handle 35,000 inbound calls, facilitate eligibility reviews through system integrations, and perform outreach regarding uncashed checks and deadlines.

On behalf of CDSS, FoundationCCC disbursed over 20,000 check/ACH payments totaling $13 million per month. To date, $116,390,500 in financial support has been disbursed to over 22,800 California family child care home providers.
