What We Do  /  System Support  /  ASAPconnect

Developing Technical Assistance Providers to support the diverse needs of California’s expanded learning programs.

ASAPconnect works to advance excellence throughout our state’s expanded learning programs by supporting and developing comprehensive, coordinated, and exceptional technical assistance (TA) providers. The organization was launched in 2008 and now supports over 4,500 statewide expanded learning programs (before school, after school, and summer learning) as they foster a positive school and community climate for youth and adults . Working in alignment with the Strategic Plan of California Department of Education Expanded Learning Division (ExLD), the organization’s mission is to provide stakeholders with multiple levels of support to enable them to deliver high quality expanded learning programs and create safe and nurturing environments for both students and staff.

California’s Expanded Learning School of Leadership & Facilitation

ASAPconnect’s School of Leadership & Facilitation is a year-long leadership cohort designed to develop the skills of California site level leaders working in expanded learning programs. Technical Assistance (TA) Fellows are tasked with facilitating dialogue that inspires action to integrate the California Quality Standards for Expanded Learning into their expanded learning sites and organizations to continuously enhance the quality of their programs.

After attending countless hours of professional development over the past twenty years of my career, I can say that my experience with the ASAP team has, by far, had the greatest impact on my career and me personally.
