The Real Estate Education Endowment is a permanent fund established by the State of California Real Estate Commissioner in 1975. For over 35 years, the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office managed the fund and executed all necessary activities in coordination with a Real Estate Advisory Board and the Department of Real Estate. The Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC) took over administrative responsibilities of the endowment in July of 2015. FoundationCCC oversees management and investment as well as the day-to-day activities required in managing the endowment.
Primary activities supported by the Real Estate Education Endowment include:
- Grants in support of projects that promote, enhance, or advance the proficiency of real estate practitioners through real estate courses provided by California community colleges, in alignment with the priority needs of the field.
- The maintenance and support of a scholarship program for students enrolled in real estate career-oriented programs.
