LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network

Providing equitable access to quality apprenticeship opportunities for Californians.

Formed in 2018, the LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network partners with community colleges, high schools and universities to build a dynamic workforce development system that connects businesses, job seekers, and career-builders to apprenticeship programs.

Using an integrated, apprenticeship-centered higher education model, LAUNCH serves as an intermediary and aims to elevate work-based degree pathways as premier academic and career options for students. 

Through regional partnerships between industry and education leaders, LAUNCH ensures residents of California have access to apprenticeships and education through the state's strong network of community colleges. By utilizing this network, businesses, students, and schools can create effective connections and partnerships.

For Businesses: Businesses seeking to recruit new talent, develop opportunities for current employees, or create a strategic training plan for their organization can utilize LAUNCH to gain access to new or existing apprenticeship pathways that align with their business objectives. 


For Students: Through apprenticeship pathways, LAUNCH offers students opportunities to advance in a career while they continue their education. Students receive paid on-the-job training and tuition-free education that directly supports their professional development.


For Schools: LAUNCH provides community colleges and high schools with structured, cost-effective and efficient apprenticeship pathways for their students and community. uniting schools to a network of industry partners, workforce and economic development initiatives, educational leadership, and community organizations.

Who we serve

The Foundation serves as the official foundation supporting the Board of Governors, Chancellor’s Office, and the entire California Community College system, including 116 colleges and 73 districts, serving nearly 2 million students.
