Darius Anderson, Founder and Chairman of Platinum Advisors, established the prominent government affairs firm in 1998. With offices in California and Washington, DC, the firm offers services in lobbying, real estate project development, procurement, public affairs, and strategic consulting. In 2018, Governor Jerry Brown appointed Anderson to the California Community Colleges Board of Governors.

A top California political strategist, Anderson has advised influential political and business leaders and engaged in civic, charitable, and governmental activities. He has held board positions at UC Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies, Goldman School of Public Policy, Californians Building Bridges, and the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, and joined California’s Political Reform Act Task Force in 2010.

Previously, Anderson served as Chief of Staff for The Yucaipa Companies and Vice President of External Affairs for Ralphs Grocery Stores, Inc., managing business development, government affairs, public relations, and external communications. He also served as Executive Director of the Ralphs/Food 4 Less Foundation.

Anderson, an entrepreneur, is Founder and CEO of Kenwood Investments, LLC, and Founder and Managing Member of Sonoma Media Investments, LLC, which owns and publishes the Santa Rosa Press Democrat and Sonoma Index-Tribune. He founded the Rebuild North Bay Foundation after the 2017 fire disasters.

A passionate collector, Anderson holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from George Washington University and lives in Sonoma.
