Heather Harris

Director, Program Accounting

Heather Harris is the Director of Program Accounting at FoundationCCC.

In this role, she drives the oversight and management of financial aspects within projects, grants, government contracts, and fee-for-service initiatives. With meticulous attention to detail, she leads a devoted team of 20 accounting professionals, handling over 400 projects and a $100M+ portfolio. Heather is dedicated to their growth, instilling accountability, and inspiring excellence.

FoundationCCC Highlights

  • Directed development for the creation and successful completion of an ongoing payment program supporting over $5 billion in payments to childcare facilities and providers.
  • Provided support and leadership during our transition to the Workday ERP system.

Heather joined FoundationCCC in 2015 and has steadily progressed within the organization. Heather’s journey has been enriched by collaborating with accomplished mentors who offered invaluable insights into nonprofit best practices. Before her tenure at FoundationCCC, Heather served as a Staff Accountant at ABM onsite janitorial services. Her role involved close engagement with the General Ledger and intricate balance sheet reconciliations. Her background also encompasses accounts payable expertise gained at Ramos Oil Company.

Heather earned her B.S. in accounting from California State University, Sacramento, and her A.S. in accounting from American River College. She holds a not-for-profit certification from AICPA and a grants management certification from Management Concepts. She is also currently pursuing a leadership certification through Management Concepts.
