Sienna Freeman

Senior Director, Infrastructure Strategy & Operational Excellence

Sienna Freeman is the Senior Director of Infrastructure Strategy & Operational Excellence at FoundationCCC.

Charged with leading FoundationCCC’s Infrastructure Strategy department, Sienna assists the Infrastructure Leadership team in pinpointing routes to elevate operational excellence through strategic planning, project management, change management, and process improvement across FoundationCCC’s Infrastructure departments (Finance, Legal Operations, Human Resources, Office Operations, and Business Systems/IT), aiming to ensure the ongoing critical support of programs, services, and overall impact.

Prior to joining FoundationCCC, Sienna served as Chief of Staff at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) where she functioned as a key advisor to the Executive Director, as well as a liaison for Board of Trustees Leadership. In this role, she was responsible for driving critical organization-wide projects and initiatives for staff and Trustees, aiming to foster efficient and effective decision-making, communication, and collaboration towards operationalizing SFMOMA’s strategic plan. She also oversaw SFMOMA’s Information Technology and Operations/Facilities departments in an interim capacity, and served as an internal interim Co-Director during a leadership transition. 

Prior to SFMOMA, Sienna served as Senior Manager of Academic Programs in the Humanities & Sciences Division at the California College of the Arts, and spent almost a decade in leadership positions in the commercial art gallery world. Currently, Sienna also sits on the Board of Directors at Southern Exposure (SoEx), an artist-centered nonprofit organization in San Francisco, serving as a member of the Finance Committee and Strategic Direction Taskforce.

Sienna earned a double master’s degree from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco; a M.A. in visual and critical studies and an MFA in fine art. She also earned a BFA in photography from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She has completed professional development courses in Project Management at both UC Berkeley Extension and at Learnit in San Francisco.
