Thien-Kim Dieu
Thien-Kim Dieu (she/her) is a queer psychology professor at Palo Verde College (PVC). She received her Ph.D., in education, with an emphasis in school psychology, from Chapman University. Prior to her work at PVC, Dr. Dieu worked as an elementary school psychologist, where she supported neurodivergent children and their families. She later had an opportunity to work at UCI’s Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, where she guided families in navigating the special education process. U
pon completion of her doctorate, Dr. Dieu worked as a tenure-track School Psychology professor at the University of La Verne, where she mentored graduate students in their pursuit of the school psychology profession. When not working alongside others, Dr. Dieu likes to spend time with loved ones, including her two black cats-Kiki and Kiko, reading, watching Ghibli films, doing DIY home projects, dancing, listening to music, and singing karaoke.
