As the official auxiliary to the California Community Colleges Board of Governors and Chancellor’s Office, FoundationCCC, a statewide nonprofit, advocates for and provides resources to California Community Colleges. 

Since 1998, FoundationCCC has been supporting student jobs through our Career Catalyst service. Career Catalyst simplifies the process of creating student work experience positions for your students.

California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) Aligned Model

The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC), recognizes Career Catalyst as a nonprofit employer of record service, allowing colleges to use 90% of the Learning-Aligned Employment Program (LAEP) funds for students’ wages regardless of employer type, including for-profit organizations, college campuses, and nonprofit worksites. Additionally, as a qualifying nonprofit employer, FoundationCCC allows colleges to broaden work placements types.  Career Catalyst allows you to maximize LAEP funds and simplify the contract process by using our CSAC-aligned agreement.

  • Dedicated 90% of LAEP funds to student wages
  • Allows colleges to offset costs not covered under LAEP
