Adam DeBow

As a member of the executive team, he oversees the organization’s legal affairs, including compliance, enterprise risk management, data privacy, labor and employment, intellectual property, and corporate governance. As Corporate Secretary, he advises the Board of Directors on governance and Brown Act compliance. His focus is translating legal complexity into organizational strategy, so programs can scale their impact across the California Community College system.

• Advised multiple technology projects during statewide scaling involving complex levels of legal compliance
• Led development of FoundationCCC’s enterprise risk management program, aligning insurance coverage and contracting best practices to build a stable operational foundation for the organization’s growth
• Co-led the modernization of FoundationCCC’s cybersecurity framework, implementing industry best practices to enhance data security for the organization and its clients, solidifying FoundationCCC’s position as a trusted leader in safeguarding sensitive information

DeBow began his career at a law firm defending state and local agencies in various stages of litigation. Leveraging this experience, he ensures FoundationCCC’s operations and growth are both legally compliant and impact-driven.

An alumnus of the University of California, Davis School of Law, DeBow holds a J.D. and was recognized by the Order of the Coif. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from UC Davis, graduating with honors.
