Al Weyant-Forbes

Al Weyant-Forbes (he/they) is the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) Specialist at Riverside City College and serves as a co-chair of the LGBTQIA2+ Association for Student Success and Equity (LASSE). He is also a doctoral student in the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work at the University of Southern California, focusing on innovative ways to increase equitable support for trans and non-binary community college students, utilizing a design justice framework. 

Originally from Central New York, Al received his master’s degree in higher education administration and bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology from Syracuse University before relocating to California in 2014. Apart from his dedication to education, Al finds joy in spending time with family and friends, exploring nature, and supporting live music and theater.
