Aris Hovasapian


Aris Hovasapian is the Director of Climate Action and Procurement Initiatives at FoundationCCC.
Hovasapian will be working with Enterprise and Procurement Services and the Center for Climate Futures to support community college and other participating agency efforts to reduce their environmental impact, invest in renewable energy, reduce their energy and water use, and accelerate the development of the emerging green workforce. His experience in policy development, facilities, energy, and sustainability amplifies FoundationCCC’s work in the climate space.
FoundationCCC Highlights:
- Looks forward to launching a statewide master service agreement to support new and existing renewable energy projects across the state, including an innovative new model to address gaps and deficiencies in existing renewable energy systems
- Plans to help grow FoundationCCC’s capacity to support systemwide decarbonization goals through a diverse blend of service offerings
Prior to joining FoundationCCC, Hovasapian worked as a consultant at Accenture, where he supported clean energy and sustainability projects at various community college districts through an Enterprise and Procurement Services statewide agreement. Hovasapian previously worked at the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), leading energy and sustainability efforts for the district’s nine colleges, culminating with the passage of LACCD’s Resolution on Clean Energy and Sustainability in 2020. He was also an inaugural member of the Chancellor’s Office Climate Action Steering Committee. Prior to LACCD, Hovasapian was the Energy Manager for the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Hovasapian attended Glendale Community College and LA Valley College before transferring to UCLA, where he graduated with a degree in Political Science.
