Brian Miller

Dr. Brian Craig Miller currently serves as the Dean of Creative Arts and Communications at Mission College in Santa Clara, California. Previously, he served as the Dean of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Fine Arts at Mission College and was Department Chair of History at Emporia State University.  

Dr. Miller actively engages in several equity and technology initiatives on campus, serving as a member on the Equity Workgroup, as an administrative representative for Technology and Distance Learning, and contributing to professional learning and development efforts. Additionally, Dr. Miller oversees LGBTQIA+ support activities at Mission College, including supporting the Gender and Sexuality Alliance student club, leading allies trainings, and teaching the Introduction to LGBTQIA+ Studies course on campus and at Elmwood Correctional Facility.  He has served on previous planning committees for the LGBTQIA+ Summit, including the inaugural summit in 2017.
