Vice President, Communications and Technology

Bryan Miller is the Vice President of Communications and Technology at FoundationCCC, where he leads the management of statewide communication and technology initiatives through a collective approach.

Widely recognized as an educational technology thought leader and a recipient of numerous communication awards, Miller brings a wealth of experience to his role within the California Community Colleges system.

Having previously served as Creative Director within the strategic communications division of the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, Miller joined FoundationCCC in 2007. Since then, he has played a pivotal role in steering marketing, communications, and multi-platform technology design and development initiatives, emphasizing the power of partnership and joint efforts to advance systemwide objectives. Ultimately, his collaborative leadership enhances access and success for California community college students.

Foundation Highlights

  • Shapes the strategic direction for FUSION, the Centralized Clinical Placement System, and Program Pathways Mapper, fostering communication, technology, and business development strategies.
  • Plays a key role in pioneering initiatives and jointly designs and implements the nation’s inaugural fully online community college.
  • Leads efforts in conceptualizing and executing the Student-Centered Design Lab, aligning student-facing tools, communication campaigns, and systemic processes and policies.

Miller’s educational journey proudly includes studies at American River College, a California Community College. Beyond his professional endeavors, he has contributed as a city commissioner for economic development and played a foundational role as a founding board member of FutureReady – the Mayor’s Trust for Youth. His dedication to empowering youth through civic engagement, college and career readiness, and work-based learning underscores his commitment to driving positive societal change through collective action.
