Carolyn Blucher
Carolyn Blucher is the Director of Conferences and Events at FoundationCCC.
Carolyn brings over a decade of expertise in the event planning field. As the head of the Conferences and Events team, she oversees comprehensive event management, covering in-person, hybrid, and virtual events. Her team of event specialists, technology specialists, and registration support, is dedicated to ensuring seamless execution of events for FoundationCCC, California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, and systemwide programs.
Foundation Highlights
- Oversaw and led the Pathways to Equity Act Virtual Conference, which took place on March 16, 2022, and won a Bronze award for the 2023 CASE Awards.
- Led the growth and development of the Conferences and Events team, while transitioning to producing virtual events through COVID-19 and the transition back to in-person and hybrid events.
During her UC Davis tenure, Carolyn interned with the Sacramento Sports Commission, igniting her passion for events management. She joined the Sacramento Convention and Visitors Bureau in 2013, excelling in event oversight and leading the successful launch of Farm to Fork Events and managing events for the Sacramento Sports Commission. Carolyn joined FoundationCCC in 2019 as Manager of the Conferences and Events Team and advanced to Director in 2022, and now oversees the 17-member team supporting in-person, hybrid, and virtual events.
Carolyn attended Sacramento City College for two years and went on to complete her education at the University of California, Davis in 2012.
