Felipe Agredano


Felipe Agredano (he/him/el/they/them) is a fourth-generation immigrant, with his family’s journey spanning from Jalisco to Chicago, then California, and finally Los Angeles. He holds degrees from Los Angeles Community College District, UC Berkeley, and Harvard University, with fellowships from Oxford and Universidad Menendez Pelayo.
He founded HONOR PAC, the nation’s first political action committee dedicated to Latinx LGBTQIA+ representation. Agredano made history as the first openly Mexican-American elected to a U.S. school board. His leadership experience includes serving as President of the L.A. County Human Relations Commission and Chair for the California Democratic Party for the 49th Assembly District.
Formerly a published researcher at Harvard’s David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies and a teaching fellow at the W.E.B. DuBois Institute, Agredano lectures at LACCD in Political Science, World Religions, and LGBTQIA+ Chicano Studies. He’s contributed to notable publications and is a frequently invited guest on major media networks like BBC, CNN Español, NBC-Telemundo, the LA Times, and the New York Times. His accolades include “Young Hispanic American Leader” by the Government of Spain, “Democrat of the Year,” and has been recognized by the State of California Legislature.
