Frederick Bobola

Director, AANHPI Student Achievement Program

Frederick Bobola serves as the Director of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Student Achievement Program (AANHPI SAP) at FoundationCCC. In this role, he leads statewide initiatives that expand academic, cultural, and holistic support for historically underserved AANHPI students, while collaborating with partners to advance equity-driven outcomes across California’s community colleges.

Before joining FoundationCCC, Bobola served for nearly a decade as Instructional Coordinator at College of the Canyons, where he managed The Learning Center’s Writing Center operations, supervised over 40 employees, and worked on grant-funded initiatives to close achievement gaps for Latinx, ESL, and AANHPI students. He also serves as adjunct English and Humanities faculty at Canyons, where he has authored new courses in Esports and interactive media. Bobola’s career also includes eight years in business development, most notably as a VP of Sales and Marketing in the private sector, building divisions from the ground up, leading large teams, and scaling outreach strategies.

Bobola earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master of Arts in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from California State University, Northridge.
