Jacob Fraker

Senate Consultant

Jacob Fraker currently serves as the Senate Consultant to the LGBTQ Caucus Vice-Chair, Susan Eggman. In this role, Jacob provides expert guidance and insight to 12 state legislators on a wide range of issues pertaining to the LGBTQ+ Community. He also works as a policy analyst for the Senator, handling bill management and offering counsel on matters encompassing human services, insurance, and military and veteran affairs. Previously, he served as a Health and Housing Recovery Specialist at the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services. 

Jacob earned his master’s degree in social welfare with a focus on strengthening organizations and communities from UC Berkeley and his bachelor’s degree in Social Work from San Jose State University (SJSU). During his undergraduate tenure, he served as President of the Undergraduate Social Work Association and worked at the Homeless Service Center in Santa Cruz and at UCSF Citywide in the Tenderloin of San Francisco. During his senior year at SJSU he was selected as one of EQCA’s distinguished Comcast Fellows in 2017. This honor marked a transformative shift toward a career in public policy.
