Jeremy Brown

Vice Chancellor of Educational Services

Dr. Jeremy Brown (he/him) is the Vice Chancellor of Educational Services at San José–Evergreen Community College District (SJECCD). A bisexual leader with roots in both private and public higher education, Dr. Brown brings over a decade of experience in instruction, enrollment strategy, and institutional effectiveness. Prior to joining SJECCD, he served as Vice President of Instruction at Yuba College, where he championed regional partnerships focused on dual enrollment, pathways for justice-impacted students, and rural student success.

Dr. Brown is an alumnus of the Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship and the Wheelhouse Advancing Leaders Institute (ALI). He holds a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of Southern California and has served on statewide initiatives, including the Common Course Numbering Taskforce and the Student Equity and Achievement Workgroup. He is passionate about fostering environments where LGBTQ+ students, faculty, and professionals, especially in rural and conservative regions, can be fully seen, supported, and valued.
