Lindsay Thompson is the Senior Director of Communications and Marketing Services at FoundationCCC.

Thompson is a dynamic leader who oversees a team dedicated to delivering statewide communications and marketing initiatives for FoundationCCC programs and external partners, including the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office. Her expertise primarily focuses on enhancing the capacity of her team, ensuring that all marketing and communications endeavors are innovative, effective, and aligned with organizational goals.

FoundationCCC Highlights

  • Managed the content creation, design strategy, and developmental phases of FoundationCCC’s redesigned website 
  • Through collaboration with the Chancellor’s Office, ushered in growth opportunities, continually amplifying and refining FoundationCCC’s contributions to system-wide marketing and communications support

Prior to joining FoundationCCC, Thompson built an impressive portfolio as an Advertising Account Manager at Runyon Saltzman. There, she handled multimillion-dollar campaigns, ensuring top-notch delivery from the ideation stage right through to execution. Her expertise encompassed a variety of mediums, including TV, radio, digital, outdoor, print, and social media. One of her significant accomplishments includes the development and transformation of campaigns for the California Community Colleges, notably the ‘I Can Afford College’ and ‘Associate Degree for Transfer’ campaigns, which later evolved into the ‘I Can Go To College’ campaign. Her insights into the world of media buying were further sharpened during her tenure as a Media Buyer at a renowned advertising agency.

Thompson is a proud alumna of California State University, Chico, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications. Her commitment to the realm of marketing is further underscored by a minor in marketing, which provided her with a nuanced understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior.
