Luis Enrique Flores
Luis Enrique Flores is currently a Senior Research Analyst at Merced College, where he works on a variety of initiatives centered around student success, equity, and social justice. He has previously served on several committees, including that of shared governance, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Institutional Review Board, and the California School Employee Association’s Executive Board.
Luis is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of community college life, he has participated in various leadership institutes in the Central Valley and beyond, including the California Education Policy Fellowship Program (EPFP) and has served on the board of directors for local schools, planning commissions, and non-profits.
Through Leading from the Middle’s Research and Planning Group for California Community Colleges, Luis hopes to create brave and active spaces that foster dialogue around the dynamic and personal intersections of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and abilities and the impact they play in leadership development.
A proud cachanilla, Luis enjoys slow food, Latin American art, and community organizing and activism.
