Nat Guerrero

Counselor and Coordinator

Nat Guerrero (she/they) is currently serving as the LGBTQ+ Counselor/Coordinator for the Rainbow Pride Center (RPC) at Los Angeles Valley College. In this role, she helps students find community, belonging and representation on campus. Nat has also  collaborated with Professional Development to present Safe Zone Trainings to staff. Using this experience as the first LGBTQIA+ Counselor in the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), Nat is collaborating with colleges to develop their Pride Centers. As an out and proud lesbian, she understands the importance of inclusion and visibility in higher education.

After receiving her B.A. in psychology, she gained experience helping students apply for Medi-Cal and CalFresh in L.A. County. This work inspired her to take on a larger role in supporting students. After completing her M.S. in counseling, with an option in rehabilitation counseling, Nat has been committed to serving students in underrepresented groups. As the RPC Counselor, their goal is to embrace, encourage, and empower LGBTQIA+ students for academic and personal success.
