Rosa Hernandez

Rosa (she/her/ella) is a Special Programs Counselor and part-time Psychology Instructor at Columbia College. She primarily works with EOPS/CARE students and is the main Counselor for the Dream Resource Center. As an alumna of Merced College, UC Merced, and the University of San Diego, Rosa is completing her TEFL/TESOL Certificate at Arizona State University. 

At Columbia College, Rosa serves on the Cultural Enrichment Committee, Transfer Team, and Weeks of Welcome Committee. She also co-created La Fiesta: Celebrating Comunidad, the first Latinx Cultural event on campus.

Rosa has provided faculty training at various community colleges on Title IX, Title 5 Education Code, Undocu-Ally Training, and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. She also collaborateswith other community colleges for mental health workshops..  

Guided by a spirit of collaboration, Rosa aims to develop strategies for inclusive education with the Advisory Board. Committed to diverse needs of LGBTQIA+ individuals, she amplifies marginalized voices, fosters understanding, and drives positive change.
