Tim Aldinger
Tim Aldinger is the Executive Director of Workforce Development at FoundationCCC.
Tim champions work-based learning, having experienced those benefits firsthand. For two decades, Tim has worked to make such programs effective for all, expanding the partnerships and support for learners who reflect California’s incredible diversity. He worked locally and nationally in the public workforce system, co-founded the California Workforce Association’s Executive Bootcamp, and spent the last ten years supporting California community colleges.
FoundationCCC Highlights
- Led the growth of the workforce portfolio to support over 5,000 annual work-based learning and other supports for participants representing the people and geography of California.
- Developed the successful California Resilient Careers in Forestry proposal, winning the American Rescue Plan Good Jobs Challenge grant and bolstering FoundationCCC’s climate resilience efforts.
- Partners closely with the many professional associations of individuals dedicated to quality education that connects people to good work.
Prior to joining FoundationCCC in 2013, Tim served as the Manager of Training and Special Projects for the National Association of Workforce Boards, where he provided technical assistance offerings ranging from strategic planning and retreat design/facilitation, to advice and consultation on board strategy and development. He started his journey in workforce development as a Youth Program Officer at the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board in Pittsburgh, PA. His first job was detassling corn in southeastern Wisconsin.
Work-based learning in the REAL Corps and the Coro Fellowship was the most transformative part of Tim’s education. He holds a B.A. in international studies from Southern Oregon University and a M.A. of public management from Carnegie Mellon University.
