Timothy Bolin

Timothy “Korbyn” Bolin, is a professor and faculty leader from La Verne, California, who teaches Ethnic Studies, Sociology, and Philosophy primarily with students and families impacted by the justice system. They have a Master of Arts in Sociology and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education with an emphasis in Cultural and Curricular Studies, which uses a sociological lens to explore inequities in the education system and to develop curriculum that reflects the diverse experiences of community members. As a person who identifies as queer, trans, and nonbinary, they hope to contribute to the creation of equity in the broadest sense. They understand equity is a communal project, a relationship among peers in which we are constantly striving, constantly confronting the aspects of society that reinforce or perpetuate stratification.
