Supported by the Center for Climate Futures, the Resilient Landscapes Network meets through a dynamic series of webinars designed to spotlight practical tools, elevate peer learning, and address real-world challenges in resilience education—from course design and industry alignment to student success and intersegmental collaboration.
This year, the Resilient Landscapes Network has expanded into Southern California, engaging educators and programs across diverse landscapes, the wildland urban interface, and fire-prone ecosystems.

In our first virtual forum of the 2025/26 academic year, we hosted a panel of industry professionals who shared evolving workforce needs in the wake of major policy and funding changes, how programs can align with current industry realities, and opportunities to shape messaging around the future of the natural resources workforce.
Webinar: Traditional Ecological Knowledge and Tribal Engagement

In this virtual forum, a panel of speakers shared their experiences for incorporating traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) into natural resources curriculum and creating meaningful partnerships with tribal entities.
Impactful Advisory Committees: Lessons from Public and Private Partners

This session will feature practical strategies for building and sustaining a strong advisory committee, with real-world insights from colleges successfully engaging both public and private sector partners. We’ll highlight examples from two community colleges and hear from college staff and their industry partners.
