Workforce experience. Simplified.

The Foundation has been supporting student jobs since 1998 through our Career Catalyst service, which enabled state agencies to hire interns and temporary employees while the Foundation carried the burden of liability, human resources, and payroll needs.

Today, the Foundation has expanded this well-known service beyond the public sector into our Career Catalyst signature service. Career Catalyst is a suite of services for organizations who are seeking to offer paid work experience. The Foundation assumes liability, performs all necessary human resource functions, and ensures these individuals are compensated for their work at the employer site. We provide the tools, materials, and expertise necessary to support employers and ensure workers gain knowledge of the skills and attributes necessary to be successful in the workplace.

Career Catalyst services are available to organizations throughout California. Our services can support short-term, part-time, summer and full-time employment. Career Catalyst serves private companies, industry associations, state and local agencies, workforce intermediaries, colleges, and non-profit organizations.

Career Catalyst simplifies the process of creating a work experience position for employers by handling "back office" administrative tasks like payroll, record-keeping, and more, allowing employers to focus on creating meaningful work experiences.
