CCC Student Ambassador Program Information and FAQs

The CCC Student Ambassador Program trains students through a peer-to-peer model to engage with their community college peers to promote important resources. Many students lack access to physical and mental health services, employment opportunities, and experience food and housing insecurities. These equity gaps are often increased for students who have experienced foster care, BIPOC communities, and other historically marginalized groups. The CCC Student Ambassador Program aims to spread awareness and reduce stigma around programs and services that college students can use to stay healthy, stretch their budget, and focus on education.

About the Role

Student ambassadors will be trained by FoundationCCC around important community resources and public benefit programs that address students’ basic needs, such as CalFresh, Crisis Text Line, tax credits, and low-cost auto insurance. Throughout the academic year, student ambassadors will conduct peer-to-peer outreach to increase awareness, enrollment, and access to these resources. Student ambassadors receive an outreach toolkit to assist with their outreach activities and a stipend of $1,500 upon completion of outreach milestones.
