FoundationCCC to Hire 230 Employees for Community Impact Call Center

Seasonal, remote roles will support state-funded public programs and provide meaningful employment
opportunities statewide.
SACRAMENTO, CA — The Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC) is recruiting approximately 230 limited-term employees to support its Community Impact Call Center, which connects Californians to state-funded public programs and resources, such as Summer EBT (SUN Bucks). These positions are expected to begin later this spring and are designed to meet anticipated increases in program call volume.
The Community Impact Call Center offers remote, short and long-term employment opportunities across California, allowing individuals statewide to work for programs that directly support families, students, and communities. While the roles are limited-term and mostly seasonal, FoundationCCC has a strong track record of rehiring call center staff for future program needs. In fact, approximately 75% of last year’s seasonal call center employees were rehired for the following season.
“To maintain continuity of service and year-round operational capacity, FoundationCCC also retains approximately 120 employees in key ongoing roles for the SUN Bucks program,” said Jose Luna, program manager for the Community Impact Call Center. “This structure allows us to scale up quickly during peak program periods while continuing to deliver reliable, high-quality support to families throughout the year.”
The limited-term positions currently being recruited include a range of operational, leadership, and support roles, such as:
- Supervisors
- Quality Analysts (Non-Bilingual and Bilingual)
- Trainer / Operations Coordinators
- Team Leads (Non-Bilingual and Bilingual)
- Agents (Non-Bilingual and Bilingual)
Job duties and qualifications align with the posted job descriptions for each role and include responsibilities related to customer service, quality assurance, team leadership, training, and call center operations. The limited-term positions will begin in April 2026 and run through October 2026.
The Community Impact Call Center provides employees with professional experience in a supportive environment while making a meaningful impact on families and communities.
“I enjoyed working at the FoundationCCC,” said a former seasonal employee. “It was a great experience, and I felt confident as an employee that I could perform my duties well. I knew I had the support I needed if I had any questions, whether it was from my supervisor or trainer. What helped me a lot was QA’s feedback.”
