Strengthening Pathways to In-Demand Careers

Earlier this month, FoundationCCC participated in the California Community College Association for Occupational Education (CCCAOE) Leadership Academy. Held at the Embassy Suites in Garden Grove, CA, educators, administrators, and workforce development leaders convened to explore innovative strategies for preparing California’s students for in-demand careers.

During the event, Tim Adinger, Vice President of Workforce and Climate Innovation at FoundationCCC led an engaging discussion that spotlighted FoundationCCC’s commitment to workforce development in California. His presentation highlighted collaborative initiatives designed to strengthen career technical education (CTE) pathways, support industry-aligned training programs, and create opportunities for equitable access to high-quality jobs. Attendees gained insights into how partnerships between colleges, industry leaders, and community organizations are driving workforce innovation and addressing the needs of both students and employers.

FoundationCCC is actively involved in several transformative workforce development initiatives, including the $21.5 million U.S. Economic Development Administration’s Good Jobs Challenge grant, which supports regional workforce partnerships and equitable career opportunities. Additionally, our organization collaborates on programs like the Chancellor’s Office Climate Fellows and other CTE efforts to prepare students for careers in emerging fields such as clean energy, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing. These initiatives are vital to equipping students with the skills they need to thrive in an evolving economy while addressing critical workforce shortages across the state.

FoundationCCC’s active role in the CCCAOE Leadership Academy exemplifies our dedication to fostering a skilled and inclusive workforce. By sharing knowledge and best practices, we continue to strengthen the connection between education and economic opportunity, empowering California community college students to succeed in an evolving job market.
